Dr. Linda Bradford
Dr. Linda Bradford has been my spiritual mom for over 17years. She saw leadership abilities in me that I didn’t know existed. As a result, she helped and is still pushing me and our family into our destiny! I love that she is so compassionate towards others by ensuring we as a church, minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of the poor and homeless, our teens, couples and singles! Pastor Bradford always has time to lend a listening ear despite her duties as a pastor, mother, grandmother and teacher in the Don Bradford Bible College. Pastor Bradford truly has the most giving and forgiving spirit! What I admire most is that she is and has been submitted to her spiritual pastors, Phillip and Brenda Goudeaux of Calvary Christian Center in Sacramento, California for over 25 years! That speaks volumes as a Pastor! She a yielded vessel of God, who allows the glory of God to take charge of our services!!
Bishop Don Bradford gave her a charge, before leaving us, to take Charity to another level and that she is doing! I love being in the position to up lift up the arms of our beloved pastor Bradford and I’m so grateful that God planted us at Charity Christian Center. The Best Is Still Yet To Come!
Pastor Jesse B. Bilberry, Jr.
Ten years ago, I was in the middle of several major life transitions. Hurricane Katrina had ransacked the place I’d called home, I was in the middle of a divorce while trying to find a job, and rebuild my life with my then, four year old son. Overwhelming was the kindness of strangers, who became great friends. One such friend invited me to Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church where I met my pastor, Rev. Jesse B. Bilberry Sr., a man of vision after God’s own heart. The rest is history.
A few years later, my son and I became members of the Mt. Pilgrim family largely because my pastor presented as a man of integrity who was solid in doctrine and steeped in family values. He reminded me of my grandfathers who were both pastors as he stood flat-footed every week and offered grace to the sinner, edification to the saints, and the example of perseverance to all. With a sweet spirit of grace and love, God used Pastor Bilberry to stabilize a time of turmoil for me and I will forever be grateful for the kindness he has shown over the years to my son and me.
Rev. Jesse B. Bilberry, Jr., was elected by the congregation of the Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church on January 16, 1984 as its eighth pastor. He was both ordained to preach and installed by the Fourth District Missionary Baptist Association on February 19, 1984.
